welcome winter

beachy breeze and subtle wind came in today to officially say winter is in. glad that we were graced with a sunny day and as the day wind down, the chill is in the air again. it's fresh and crisp. adding a hint of peace to a new month, the days ahead don't look so overwhelming. God is in control. and we can all celebrate with that warm hot chocolate ... mug in hand, hugs to bind...

sunny spring

eight months into ministry, getting settled and getting to know the community ... a lot has been happening lately. a good kind of lot. it's exciting to welcome spring in the west coast for the first time. while the past few weeks had been awashed with rain, it would be nice to see the sunny weather come to stay for sometime ... as we all shed the winter cold and usher in a hopeful anticipation - of bright and beautiful blessings to give and to receive.

may all go well with you, not just today - but each and every day. let us together welcome sunny spring in margs.

So glad that our God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
May we all tenderly and softly willingly walk into His loving
arms - into His grace, into His gifts, into His light, into His
everlasting love... Welcome 2016!

in expectation

a small white face poked from beneath the sidewalk underneath the paperbark tree.

its curious, bright, big eyes alive with wonder. little by little its face began to unravel

as the smell of the earth draws it nearer. sure enough it held a small grin (at least to

my point of view) seemingly saying that it will have some good stuff on its beak soon.

the little cockatoo walked in almost like a little dance, taking in the sight and smell

of that little space under the paperbark tree. the cockatoo walked around the side

walk with determination and with an enviable expectation. after all, our heavenly

Father takes care of all of them.

simple things

joyful acknowledgement of the simple things enjoyed today - unexpected help and blessings as well as time and laughter with my best friend. no riches or material things can compare to what simple conversation and camaraderie brings. enjoy each and every minute with your beloved. i know i did.

once a year, we celebrate the day we arrived in this world - birthdays are occassions to give thankfulness and praise to the Almighty above as well as to share joy and gladness with those closest to our hearts. my birthday has been made extra special by the unexpected blessings and tidings that came. to start each day without expectations, and to begin with humility is how i'd like to wake up in the coming mornings...
